About Melisi

Let me introduce you to Melisi, a restaurant that quietly stands out on High Street and feels like one of those places you’re glad you discovered early. Located at 129 High St, Ruislip HA4 8JY, United Kingdom, Melisi blends a relaxed neighborhood feel with the confidence of a well-run dining spot, making it easy to recommend to friends or first-time visitors. The atmosphere leans warm and welcoming, so whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or settling in for a longer meal, it never feels rushed or pretentious. What I like most is how flexible the experience can be, because Melisi offers dine-in comfort alongside takeaway, delivery, and even outdoor seating when the weather cooperates, which adds a nice casual touch. The menu is thoughtfully balanced, offering something for almost every mood and preference, from healthy options to satisfying late-night food, and that variety makes it appealing to mixed groups. You’ll notice that vegan and vegetarian options aren’t treated as an afterthought here, which is refreshing, and they sit comfortably alongside classic favorites that suit everyday dining. Drinks are equally well covered, with a selection that includes coffee for daytime visits, plus beer, wine, cocktails, and spirits when the evening rolls in, creating an easy transition from afternoon to night. This range makes Melisi practical for spontaneous plans, informal catch-ups, or even solo visits when you want something reliable, familiar, and consistently enjoyable throughout the week, for locals and visitors alike. Service flows naturally and supports the overall vibe, giving you the sense that the team understands how people actually like to eat and socialize, without overcomplicating the experience. Melisi feels like a restaurant that fits into everyday life rather than demanding a special occasion, offering quality, choice, and convenience in a way that feels natural and easy to enjoy.

Delicious pizza that’s cooked to perfection, authentic flavours and a nice ambiance to the restaurant

Overall: Food: Neapolitan (Southern Italian) Not my preferred style of pizza so I can’t and won’t down rate it because of that. A strong four stars overall though for this Ruislip pizzeria with a decent pasta menu and open kitchen which is a nice to see. Very good, helpful and attentive service. Great for families. What I liked: • Nice clean, bright restaurant • Friendly, helpful service • Nice, tasty pasta • Short but decent wine list priced well • Generally good price points What I didn’t like: • The ‘focaccia’ is more like pizza bread and not proper focaccia at all which was disappointing and priced too high for what you get. • High price point for the pizzas especially for one out of central London with much lower overheads Do I recommend going? YES Will I go again? YES Was it good value? YES Price Point: $$

This has been our regular "go to" pizza for the last two years or so and it's always just perfect The pizza is wonderfully done - puffy, charred, slightly chewy crust but wafer thin in the middle, with fantastic quality toppings. The Italian owners and their staff are always so polite and professional. A proper authentic Napolitana Pizzeria that outclasses many others I've tried in central London. The pasta is also fantastic, but the pizza is so damn good I always choose that. Note: photos are from most recent visit.

Tried the Ortolana pizza, which is originally vegan, with mushrooms, aubergine, onions, basil, sundried tomatoes, and olives. I added mozzarella on top and it was absolutely delicious. We also had the Peperonata (vegan) with roasted peppers, onions, and basil. The staff were helpful and happy to tweak the ingredients as my friend didn’t like mushrooms. There was no queue, though service was a little slow. Still, it was worth the wait. Parking on the nearby side street was a bit tricky. Loved this place for a proper wood fired pizza.

Faultless food and service. Some of the best authentic pizza around but uniquely, Melisi also serves absolutely incredible fresh pasta, which is rare outside of central London. A real winner. The saffron ravioli is incredible!

I'd like to leave a 5 star review here, because I ordered on Uber, the pizza and the ingredients quality is super and very tasty, but due to slow Uber deliver and multiple order deliveries at the same time by my driver, by the time it got to me, it was cold and ruined my experience. I think the restaurant is doing a great job, just make sure your online orders are delivered straight away!! Cheers!

Early dinner for two at Melisi in Ruislip (our local Italian). My wife had the Saporita pizza and I had the Pasta Salsiccia e Tartufo. Both dishes were excellent our the total bill was about £36. Highly recommended.
